The Valley 1: Fintan’s Tale is an historical fantasy set in ancient Britain’ focused on earth‑magic, Cornwall, ley lines, and mythic historical fiction.
The start of this trilogy opens an immersive historical fantasy set in the River Fowey Valley of Cornwall, where ancient earth energies shape the destinies of those who can feel them. Two thousand years ago, young Fintan — a humble tanner’s boy — is given a mysterious lily by a passing stranger. The gift awakens within him the ability to heal through the subtle manipulation of energy, setting him on a path he never expected.
Apprenticed to a herbalist at Castle D’Or, Fintan learns of the ‘woivres’ — the ancient lines of power that run through the land, known as The Dragon Line. As he begins to understand the forces that flow beneath the surface of the world, he becomes entangled in a story of magic, healing, time itself and the hidden wisdom of the Earth.
Rooted in real Cornish landscapes and lore, this novel blends historical detail with mystical earthlore, weaving a tale of transformation, destiny, and the deep connection between people and place. Later parts of the trilogy explore Lostwithiel, once the ancient capital of the Duchy of Cornwall, revealing further secrets of the valley and its energies, now known as The Michael and Mary Line.
Atmospheric, magical, and grounded in the sacred geography of Cornwall, Fintan’s Tale is perfect for readers who love historical fantasy, Celtic‑inspired myth, and stories where the land itself is a character.

Fintan discovers the special places in this beautiful valley where an ancient power writhes through the granite. He learns to see the ancient forces of power that lie slumbering in the earth. He discovers hidden blessings of water and how the ancient power can be woken and stored for use by mankind. Dark forces gather in the valley as raiders find out about the gold at Lugh’s fort and Fintan is caught right the middle of a battle for possession.
He has been waiting two-thousand years to tell you his story.

COMING SOON: In Part 2, we leap two thousand years forward to more modern day times.
The Valley II: Guardian
Book Two of The Valley Trilogy, following Fintan’s Story and leading toward Liberation
Andrew came to Lostwithiel to disappear. A failed teacher with a burnt-out nervous system and six pounds to his name, he wanted only silence, a cold stone cottage, and a river to watch while his life quietly ended.
But the valley had other plans.
At night the smell of tallow fills his empty rooms. Dreams drag him through centuries he has never lived. A presence watches from the dark corners of his home, patient and ancient, pressing against his mind until sleep itself becomes dangerous. He is not imagining it. Something beneath the Cornish soil is calling his name.
Two thousand years ago, a healer boy named Fintan died defending this same ground, and was bound to it ever since, guardian of a broken vein of earth energy that once ran pure beneath the churches and holy wells of the valley. Now, something feeds on that wound. And Fintan has been waiting, through centuries of silence, for the one person able to hear him.
With the help of Barbara, a sharp-tongued psychic who refuses to let him hide, Andrew learns to read the land through his hands, his skin, the hair rising on the back of his neck. He finds water that remembers, stones that hum, and darkness that watches back.
What began as haunting becomes purpose. What began as fear becomes love. The valley is waking him, piece by piece, for a reckoning he has not yet understood.
